Pastor Calvin DuBois Curry was the youngest child born to the late Ora and Arvell Curry and raised in North Babylon, Long Island, New York. He graduated from Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, VA. During his time at St. Paul’s College he lettered in track and was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.   He also graduated from Averett University with an M.B.A.  Pastor Curry has also studied at Shaw Divinity School and Lexington Theological Seminary. He was licensed to preach in 1996 and ordained by the Piedmont District Convention- Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in 2008 under the leadership of Dr. Bill Lee, former Senior Pastor of Loudon Ave Christian Church. He married his college sweetheart – Lesper Johnson on February 14, 1987 and together they have two adult sons- Winston and Ashton Curry, and two grandsons- Harrison & Langston Curry. He formerly served as the minister of Pastoral Care at Loudon Ave Christian Church in Roanoke, VA.  Pastor Curry is currently employed as the Director of Operations for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia. Pastor Curry was called to pastor Fayette Street Christian Church in Martinsville, Virginia on April 1, 2018.
